About the event

Cancer Awareness Organization - Here For the Girls (H4TG)

This year we have partnered with H4TG. H4TG offers various personalized services crafted specifically for young women in the most active stage of their lives. A cancer diagnosis forces them to hit pause and make difficult decisions that impact their lives and long-term health. H4TG members benefit from access to a sisterhood of shared experience, vital education, and a compassionate community. The H4TG research-proven model delivers trauma-informed and responsive services, clinical-backed education, and peer-based support. The results have a direct and tangible impact on those battling this life-altering disease.

The Ride

TPC will be doing the standard Saturday Ride with 3 loops with at least 3 pace groups depending on number of participants (approximately 50 miles). We will have some representation from H4TG to speak before the 7:15 and 8:30 loops. TPC Board will also be presenting a check for $1000 from TPC as part of our commitment to the community and important efforts like this.

Wear Pink - For those that have a pink kit, please wear it. If you do not have a kit. That is okay!!! Wear any pink you can find. Go Crazy!! Have fun with it! Be Creative! Wear pink socks too!! Some folks have worn pink tutu's in the past. (Not mentioning any names). Yes - You can decorate your bike pink as well. The Board will be picking the person/bike with the best outfit for a prize.

Donations

We have set up a TPC donation page through H4TG. The link is on our main TPC website. You can donate directly to that site (Check out TriPower Cycling Club's team fundraising page for Here For The Girls, Inc.) electronically or you can give cash or check on the day of the ride. I would encourage everyone to give something. This is a small non-profit organization. They do not have large funding streams. Every little bit helps. Also, keep in mind, we have quite a few members that have gone through breast cancer so this event is very personal and hits very close to home. They will tell you how vital these organizations were during their discovery, treatment and recovery phases of this debilitating illness.

Let's Collect over $1500. We can do it!!

We will have a pink table set up during the entire event for donations, memory board displays and pamphlets in case you are interested in volunteering. We will also have a locked cash box (pink of course) for donations.

If you are one of the first 60 people to donate $25 or more, you will receive a free pair of cancer awareness socks.

All participants that donate $25 or more will receive a raffle ticket for door prizes after the ride, courtesy of Contes and TPC.

If you donate $50 and you are the one of the first 60 to donate - you get both the socks and the raffle ticket.

After Ride Event

Wasserhund has opened their doors up to us and will be providing pizza and non- alcoholic drinks after the ride. Please join us to partake in the celebratory activities!

Hope to see you out there.
